It is important to practise listening.

When we want to make a noun from a verb, we use –ing. We use this grammar after prepositions and some verbs. These verbs for Level 2 are

like, love, hate, start, begin, continue, stop, finish, enjoy, practise, keep.

After like, love, hate, start, begin and continue, we can also use to. For example, I like to read.

Examples

I finished drinking water.
We continued walking.
All the stars stopped shining.
